Independent research conducted by students is the crown jewel of the Neuroscience program. Undergraduate students have the unique and unparalleled opportunity to learn from and interact with some of the greatest neuroscientists in the world.
Nearly half of all Neuroscience majors work in laboratories across campus where they develop independent research projects under the guidance of experienced mentors who encourage original thinking and rigorous scientific methodology. Students wishing to receive honors formally write up their research findings and present their work at the annual Neuroscience Student Research Symposium.
Many of our students often end up publishing their research findings in some of the top research journals. View Publications Co-Authored by Neuroscience Majors.
